"Roast Mutton" relived
On a boring day, a small incident would be enough to light it up and make it entertaining.
In the darkness, a flame sparked. I thought it was a technician doing some railway repairs by the tracks, using a torch. It sparked again and this time, it stayed. Beside the fire was a huge packet, as though it contained a dead body. As i saw further, i saw 3 people arguing. As i went closer, i saw them take out a skinned body of a chicken and roast it on the twig-fire they had just lit. I found myself in Bilbo Baggins' situation. Except i had no Fili and Kili, nor any of the dwarves to save me or accompany me.
As i went closer, i noticed that all 3 of them were extremely drunk. When i just passed by, one of them asked me for a cigarette. I asked why i would have a cigarette and went on. But after going for a distance, into the darkness, i turned around to see what they were doing. They still continued to roast the chicken.
I stood there for a while looking at this roasting going on when suddenly, one of the trolls got up. He started walking toward me with great speed. I began to walk away, taking slight peeks at him. He was still following. There was nothing but darkness. Thoughts wizzed by me and i regretted not having the company of Thorin. I kept my calm, keeping my hand at the ready, to deliver a devastating blow, if he had touched me. i kept walking and he kept following.
Just by the tracks i saw 2 people standing. I did not recognise them at first. But they did. They were my allies, indeed. There was no sign of the troll. I told them the story and all 3 us started to cross the tracks. From the other side of the tracks ,the troll was looking at us, with deadshot eyes, filled with vengeance and an instinct to kill.
My 2 allies showed up in place of Fili and Kili. We, rather I, had escaped the trolls. I had relived the chapter.
