A Rabbit? Take a closer look.

A Rabbit?Take a closer look.

When i was around 11 or 12, or younger, not sure, i heard that there was a rabbit on the moon. It took me some time to see how it has a rabbit on the moon.
When i realised, it was a happy moment. I was overjoyed that i found it. A huge grey rabbit, sleeping on the moon, as if it was sleeping in it's burrow. Whenever i saw the moon, i always concentrated on the rabbit and very rarely on the other parts. Very rarely, I would try looking at the moon with a celestial point of view, tried viewing it as a 3-d sphere. It was a small interval that i saw it was a sphere, the rest of the time, i saw it like a circle.
It was today, that i was looking at the moon. It was the only object in the sky. There was nothing else; no clouds, no stars nor any aeroplanes. And it somehow totally caught my attention. It's dim yellow glow along with it's fullness and aura, made me stare at it like a dog staring at a bone. It made me go back to try viewing it as a sphere. In this process, i noticed something else about the moon. All this time,  i thought the moon only had a rabbit. But today, i saw a face. It was as i the rabbit was only a cover of sorts. Behind it, with careful observation, i found that there was a face. It looked like a face with the head turned down, as if it was sad or ashamed. The forehead was big, the nose was pointy and the mouth was showing a grim expression. It looked as if, the moon, pretending to be merry, was a sad thing. It looked as if the moon was sad because of it's loneliness.
But it glows to keep us happy. It makes an aura which has a power to heal any mental injury. And yet, it feels lonely. Only if it had known that so many people derive happiness from it, i am sure, i would see a smiling face, with a small forehead and a head raised high.

Wants?! Look at theirs..

   Wants?! Look at theirs..

According to Economics, wants of a human are unlimited, and, i totally agree. They are endless and infinite to count. One want comes after another. And these wants are to be satisfied to live a happy life. But, all the wants cannot be satisfied. And i am sure sadness is directly proportional to the number of wants not satisfied.
Today, waiting for my friend, i saw a flower-seller selling stringed flowers by the roadside. Her shop included a mat, a few polythene covers and 2-3 types of flowers. Today was the first time i saw someone buying flowers from her. I felt like one of her wants came true. Well, again, i can't say for sure. And there i saw a familiar face. I do not know her name nor who she actually is. I just see her almost everyday. Poor, though, she was, she dressed decently and preferred to work rather than beg. She did have a husband. He too was a familiar face in the area. I do not know what became of him, he is not seen nowadays. Anyway, i think i did see sorrow in her face, or jealousy seeing others buying flowers, or, it was a want for flowers. She looked desperately at the flowers.
Well, it was a scene that makes someone realise how widespread, wants are. They act on every person alive. People with lesser wealth will surely have greater wants and will be in greater despair. For her, flowers, which are a relatively small want with people with wealth, are a greater want maybe. Well, wealthy or poor, wants act on everyone. And wants of the less affluent are small to us, but great to them..

Holi-day

Holi-day

A day of varied colours and buckets of water. Splashes with mugses, balloons and buckets. Colours in packets and gold in bottles. Devastating as it may be, the fun it gives is nice! It would be as if one is swimming while standing and once the colours come in, it is all the more fun!.
I set out on an important task in the morning. It was one which had to be protected from any drop of water or colour. I sneaked with "skyfall" playing in the background and mission was successful! However, it all happenned in the return journey. An army of friends waiting to colour my life!! a bucket of blue water. *Dodge*! The damage was little. the left bottom corner of the shirt and part got wet! I had to take revenge! The bag was a weakness. I ran for it!
Later, in 5-10 minutes, i went back! Bolder than ever, without any weakness. But i was truely outnumbered! It was a mass attack! It did not take 2 seconds before i was drenched in water. Like literally! Like an airforce of yellow and blue fighter jets, coloured powders clashed with my skin. I was no longer identifiable. ~VforVendetta:"My turn"~ And attack!! colours colours colours everywhere! Even before they could load water! Avenged! It was not enough! They got in armies of gold powder. They coloured my hair super saiyan gold! It was a long battle. In the end, out of no where, came my savior. A man who got eggs! He came on a black war-bird, pulsar, it's name. Loaded his hands with egg bombs aaaand UNLEASH!! My enemies fell one by one. I cannot say victory fell on me.
Back at home, It was a "bloodbath". As i washed the colour off, blood red water flowed down.

Bowling

Bowling

O god! I never thought bowling would be so good! Short, though, it was. However, it was competitive and fun.
A bright, hot friday afternoon. One would decide to rest at home or just stick to the computer chair. But bowling was something new and i had never tried. So, i thought to give it a try. But 220 for 10 rounds made me think a little. Na! It was too tempting. 6 of us( more the people, more the competition), went to this bowling alley. a line was given to us, the first one. Turn by turn, i saw my friends bowl. I was awestruck and amazed. The first guy got a strike! He made it look easy. All i could get to mind was "Fred Flinstones" bowling in his trademark way.

Well, a wait, and it was my turn. I chose a heavy bowling ball from the stands, and held it with three fingers, firmly. I took a run and let the ball go like  a bolt of energy. The unexpected happenned. The ball lofted and hit the glass pane next to the heads, and went along the gutter(channel) and went straight into the pit, no pin touched. the next try, the ball took a curved part at the midlane and managed to strike down 2 or 3 pins. The rest of the competitors scored high. It was my turn again, I became the ball and a deep breath, a hard swing of the arm, a very slant body, a crossed leg. bent back, a forceful hurl and a gentle push. The ball slid down the heads, a slight curve at midlane and bang! A huge devastation. 4 pins left. Next turn, same things done and kaboom! STRIKE! The next round too, STRIKE! And so it went with the third round. Ultimately, i came third. A guy bowling in the lane beside us looked like a monster when he left the ball. The momentum with which he left the ball and the balance which he maintained was fantastic. In 10 rounds, he scored 150. Something which was not achievable by any of my friends nor me. 74. That was my score.
However, the game, in itself was fun. For a debut, the score nor the performance was bad.

Expectations...Ha!

Expectations...Ha!

How foolish are these expectations? How miserable are they? How sad can they be? Why do they have to be like that?
When John Watson asked Sherlock holmes what he thinks of the case. Sherlock Holmes replies that he'd better not make any theories or expect any result without seeing the crime scene. Now, i see why he said that. Purely my perception. He would be devastated if what he expected would be wrong and his mind would get blocked!
I read somewhere that expectation with poetic imagination is the reason to a man's downfall! It does seem true! the destruction and meltdown caused when what you expect does not happen, will toss you down! Straight down! gravity or no gravity. The soul sinks. And though a different offer be made, i don't think it'd be enough for pulling us up! Because then, gravity will show itself to keep us on the ground. There is a very thin common area between what we expect and what actually happens...

Swimming!!

Swimming!!

Never thought swimming would be as fun as it was today. Today's experience of swimming was very different.
The day was quite hot. And it was, more or less, a good day to swim in gallons of chlorinated water.
As we entered the pool area, there were people all around, and in between them, lie that cold, blue cavity. i was longing for this for a long time, and it finally arrived.
Diving into the pool, i realised i did not know how to swim!( ya well, i could float and walk around).
My friends helped me out. It was not  such a difficult thing, Just a lot of biceps/triceps and strong thigh and calf muscles. alternate breathing sequence and there you are! You can now swim. ( tada dadum!) An underwater swim trial, it was beautiful. It made me wonder how it'd be inside a real sea or ocean and how Pi Patel felt when he saw underwater, the deep abyss of blue, and tiny dots of other colours. The other thing was a pump which continuously pumped water into the pool. Placing  a leg on it, umm, it could be the most ticklish feeling you'd ever feel. and then there was the styrofoam board, used to help learners learn. Trying to use it as an underwater surfboard was not a bad idea, except that it overturned easily.
It was a pleasant feeling...

As dusk fell over this city..

As dusk fell over this city....

Finally, free summer air! I can finally roam around with my comrades, after a grave battle. Yesterday was a day we went to a place, where we never went before. But it was the most joyous journey. The end of it was even more beautiful.
As the sun set over this huge city, and dusk started to fall, me and my fellows rode away on our black steeds, calmly roaring, galloping at 60 kmph. The destination was far off and maybe, it would not have been beautiful after dark. After a long ride on steep roads, along huge gardens and a tough climb, we reached the spot. I guess we were at a height of atleast half a kilometer above the city. An isolated, lonely, vast area, it was. Even then, it had an air of beauty and majesty to it.
The sight was thrilling. A  small tumble off the hill and even "Arwen" would not be able to save us.
We were able to see the whole of the city with it's lights starting to glow and sun dimmed down. In that darkness, out of a tree flew 2 peacocks, fearing the presence of 4 men.

After a heart-filling experience, and a really tough ride down that rocky hill, we came back to civilisation.

Closer to E.T.

Closer to E.T.

It took me by surprise. I shrieked without my knowledge. It was loud enough. I drew attention.

I did not in the least expect to see this. I was just going through the lines of the newspaper reading about the papal conclave, and suddenly, this article popped out from the "Science & Tech" page. How shocking it was. The headline read, "Mars had the right conditions for life". This was the reason i shrieked! i just vaguely went by and two words caught my attention, "Mars" and "life". They wrote that the Gale crater into which the "Curiosity" rover was sent, collected samples of the mud. after examining it, they found elements such as sulphur, nitrogen, hydrogen, oxygen, phosphorous and carbon. It seemed as if the thing that happened in my dream was going to get real sooner than i thought. Atleast, the E.T. part of it.
Reading this, the thought struck if me if what Arthur C. Clarke wrote was correct. That his "fiction":"Talking of space, Report on planet three", was right about the end of Mars' civilisation, brought about by a nuclear explosion, millenia ago, when "The Greeks were storming Troy." Maybe that is how these elements were found. Maybe, E.T. is still living somewhere on that planet. Somewhere under the red deserts. Somewhere, still spying on us, as they did ages ago.

A necessary massacre

A Necessary Massacre

Scientists and people have always debated on killing of animals for humanity's sake. At a point, even i thought that killing them is bad. But, this is something we cannot expect to happen. At the rate the world is increasing it's population, developing it's technology and growing larger, there is more need for space, resources etc. So, one cannot expect to live peacefully, side-by-side with animals.
This was a simple question asked by my friend in a debate. He asked, "If there was a toxic bacteria living close to you, which would harm you, would you not eradicate it?". I thought it was a legit question. I thought and thought whether there was another way. None found. Later, in a similar scenario, my brother said," Ask everyone who supports such things, to stop using modern medicine." True. One cannot expect everything at the cost of nothing.
And today was the day, the question was answered. Summer, it is. Pests are widespread and cockroaches became a menace. I got vexed by these tiny marvellous creatures. So did my family. So we brought in the executioner. We brought "Hit", the aerosol spray. And as each drop of aerosol touched the roaches, they fell to the ground like armies of dwarves in the battle of Moria. Or, like those native armies in "Avatar". Anyway, sad, though, was the sight, it was something necessary for my family, belonging to a race of humans, to live peacefully. The sight looked like a massacre. It was a massacre. A cockroach massacre...

This is but a taste of it.

Insa- wha-........

Insa-wha-....

As my friend said "The world does not stop giving us suprises". In total agreement! We see people everyday. So, there are normal people, abnormal people, fictitious people... and then, there are INSANE people!! Who would travel 725 kilometers to deliver 5 juice bottles to someone they got an order from? that is affection. No doubt. But really. This guy could've said "Not possible. Thats too far". This man did not!
This person, from whom we ordered ready-to-mix, home-made juices, in my younger days, was and is an old man. Now, must be around 73 or 74. We used to order a lot from him. different flavours of juices. Ginger lime, strawberry, mango, pomegrenate etc. He may have grown an affection towards us as this stage. No idea. During this time, he lived far away from where i stay. Yet, he used to make and bring us juices whenever we ordered. However, after some years, we stopped ordering juices and lost complete contact with this man.
After years, this year, we gave an order for 5 juice bottles. He, recollected who we were. So he said he'd have the juices delivered. Little did we know that he was going to give me a shock. So this man, came to my house today, and he looked rather tired.I showed him his seat and gave him a glass of cold water, which he asked for. And here, came today's major thrill. My dad asked him where he was staying now. The man said," I just travelled 725km to get here. Me and my family have shifted to Vizag."
It thrilled me how an old man of 74 came so far to deliver some juice bottles. He later said "Next time, when you want some juice bottles, collect it at the station." I found this "adventure" of his very insane. So would anyone...

An Old Story

An Old Story..

This is a very old story. And my mother helped me recollect this.

Long ago, there was a king. The king had 7 seven sons. One day the king caught 7 fish. He lay them out so that they can dry. He comes back after some time and notices that the last fish has'nt dried yet. So, he asks the fish "Fish, fish, why did you not dry yet?". In reply, the fish says " the haystack blocked the sun rays and i was not able to dry." Sp, the king asks the haystack," Haystack, haystack, why did you block the sunlight?". The haystack answers, " I blocked it because i was too high." The king asks the haystack," Why are you so high?". The haystack answers " because the cow did not eat me". So, the king goes to the cow and asks, "Cow, cow, why did not eat from the haystack?". The cow replies, " Because the calf did not drink my milk". The king asks the calf," calf, calf, why did you not drink the milk?". The calf replies,"My master did not release me". So, the king asks the calf's master," Why did you not release the calf?". He answers,"Because my daughter was crying". The king questions the daughter,"why were you crying?". The daughter answers" An ant bit me". The king asks the ant," why did you bite the girl?". The ant replies "if somebodys put their finger in my ant-hill, why would i not bite?"
So cleverly the ant had answered to the king. This story has more to it than meets the eye. It tells us that one sane person would not do something bad to you if you did not do anything bad to him. Like this, this story goes deep into an abyss of morals...

Sci-fi dream!

Sci-fi Dream

Every person in this world dreams. The whole world dreams. Many don't remember, but yes, everyone does. And some people's dreams are influenced by their wants and imaginations. This leads to some awesome, mind-blowing dreams. The same thing happened with me.
~Note: the dream was much better in my sleep. Readers must understand expressing such a dream is really tough. People with good imagination and good understanding, please read. Others, read anyway!
So, i don't remember when exactly i started dreaming last night. But whenever i started, i don't remember how it started, nor, how i was in that place, nor, How i started what i was doing. Anyway, when i first looked around, in my dream, i was in school. Well, it was not at all looking like school in the "awake" life. it looked completely different. And when i said completely different, i mean completely different. My Huge school, was broken down, and divided into various experimental rooms. Some large and some small. All of these were connected to each other with huge, metallic(i guess) pipes, transporting a liquid. It was a liquid which kept all the experimental rooms stable, that is, all the apparatus and experimental set-ups in each room, stayed stable because of this liquid. The wierd thing was, we, students were conducting and supervising these experiments, whatever they were. It was tough to know on what we were working. E.T. tech maybe. Anyway, me and my friends were in one room, experimenting over a battery. And, some moments later, i looked out the window, and there it was. A huge drain from the Central Unit where the stability Liquid is stored. And it was followed by huge explosions along the pipelines. Each of the experimental rooms were bursting skyhigh, or they just got vaporised. i noticed that we were working on a battery which uses high quantities of the liquid, and a small deficiency can lead to a huge explosion. I went into an eerie, a euphoria. Thoughts just flew by. I did'nt know what to do. And after a small interval of time, I shouted "explosion!" or "get down!" or something else. Not sure. This was followed by screams of my dying friends. i thought i survived, but, just then, i woke up!
I confirmed to myself that you wake up when you die in a dream!

My "Turkey"sh adventure

My "Turkey"sh Adventure

It was a bright, sultry Sunday morning. I woke up and looked at a beast in the mirror. So, i decided to go to the person who can make me normal. I decided to go to the salon. It was an adventurous journey. Well, more or less.
It was a 2-3 kilometer journey, i assume. I had to bear high temperatures, walk long distances, cross broad-gauged railway tracks, climb down, and walk even more, just to reach my witch-doctor. I thought my journey would be another boring, plain one. But, just then, as music played in the background, i saw the most unexpected thing. It caught me by suprise.
As background music was playing, i was sending invisible carrier pigeons to my friends. A dog started barking. As it was a common stray dog, i ignored it. Right after this, i heard an uncommon animal call. it sounded like something i heard before. i turned, and saw a Turkey! A huge one! dark in colour with a hanging nose. Then i realised where i heard it before. It was on a virtual farm i used to cultivate on. it was just huge, this Turkey. I opened my digital "memory" storage to store a memory of a bird in a tiny cage. As soon as i did, it puffed up. It seemed like it was going to attack me. Had it not been for the cage, my journey would've ended 5-10 minutes early. It'd have re-routed to the nearest doctor, save witch-doctor. i used the DMS( digital memry storage) and i just went on my way.
I sent these memories to some of my friends using some more invisible carrier pigeons! It was  an adventure....

Animals=Humans

Animals=Humans

They said dogs and all animals are different from humans. Well, today's sight totally contradicted that "observation".
It was a sunny Monday morning. The same old, "Go to school" type of ones. And i was, somewhat, late. CHUCK IT!! :p. So, i just got onto the road and there i saw it. A sorry sight, but it was extremely funny when i looked at it. So, there were these two dogs there, on a wasteland, well, more or less, a wasteland. One was just mindlessly running around. The other one was just squating there, doing something. I did not spot it at first, but, when i saw it, it was the most ridiculous thing! This dog's head was stuck in a plastic jar! i just burst out. I stood there for 5 minutes looking at what it would do! Maybe, this dog stuck it's head in, for food, and then the head got stuck. However it happenned, this other dog, was still running around and whenever it went close to the dog whose head got stuck, the dog would just swing it's head around and try barking at it.
This reminded me of one thing. It struck me in a jiffy! It was just like how friends troll/prank each other! It looked like this dog was teasing the dog was teasing the dog whose head got stuck, and the other dog was just shouting or cursing at it! It was  a typical friend prank friend scenario!
Well, i started my day with a hearty laugh!
